Backstory Books & Yarn is an independent, woman-owned, book and yarn store, located on Portland Oregon’s historic Hawthorne Boulevard. Backstory Books & Yarn is the owner, but the shop is really an amalgam of its readers, supporters, crafters, and friends. The owner of that shop remained in her home, becoming their new landlady, in a mutually beneficial relationship.
