Privacy
Short, because there is not much to say. This page is accurate to what the code actually does, not a template neither of us read.
What this site does not do
No analytics script. No ad pixel. No cookie banner, because there is no tracking cookie to disclose. No third-party embed that phones home when you load a page. Nothing is sold, and there is nothing to sell — this site does not know who you are.
What it remembers on your device
Your light/dark choice and the day you are building (the places you
have picked for a search) are kept in your browser's own storage,
localStorage. Both stay on your device. Neither is sent to
this site's servers. Clearing your browser's site data clears them.
The three things you can send us
Three forms exist, and each writes only what it says it writes:
- Adding a business takes the business's details and an email address to reach whoever sent it.
- Leaving a review takes a rating and what you wrote. No email is asked for or stored.
- Reporting something wrong on a profile takes what you typed and an email in case a follow-up question is needed.
Every submission is read by a person before anything changes. Whatever a form sends also includes the sending IP address and browser string, kept only to slow down spam (a simple rate limit — a handful of submissions per address per day). None of that is published, sold, or shared.
The straw poll
"Settle the Beef" votes are tied to a one-way signature made from your IP address and browser, not the address itself, so the same visitor cannot vote twice in a row on the same matchup. It cannot identify you, and nothing about it is claimed to be more than a straw poll.
Questions
Use the "Something wrong here?" link on any profile page, or the add-a- business form — both reach the same person.
