Their mom/best friend just found out that she was losing her battle with cancer and at the same time, their neighborhood ice cream store felt like it was slowly dying too. It was a place where their mom brought their twins to try their first tastes of ice cream when they could barely walk and they shared many great memories there. Many of the desserts their mom created still haunt their memories and they often attempt to recreate them in the form of ice cream like her bananas foster (Caramelized Banana Ice Cream) and their mom’s amazing cheesecakes inspired their Roasted Cherry Mascarpone. Although they had talked for several years about starting a business together, it was always a discussion about some cloudy plan in a seemingly distant future.
