Every custom dining table, desk, and bedroom piece that leaves this shop is built from American domestic hardwoods, including Pacific maple and black walnut sourced from the Pacific Northwest, and occasionally urban salvage timber from Portland itself. Michael's finish of choice is a time-tested oil and wax. It nourishes the wood, enhances its natural grain, and gets better with age, just like the furniture itself. The Philosophy Michael specializes in handcrafted dining tables because he believes they are the most important piece of furniture in a home. The table is where families gather, where homework gets done, where decisions get made and memories get formed.
