In Costa Rica, where they met their wife Natalia, they live everyday by this motto. After 13 years in NYC, and 2 in Costa Rica, they chose Portland as a place where their wife and they could find that ‘good life’ here in the states. The people and culture here share some of the same laid back and friendly values that they found so endearing to Costa Rica. What they miss most about Costa Rica, besides the surf and sun, is the freshest ceviche and seafood that they’ve ever tasted. The idea behind Pura Vida Bistro and Bar on Alberta Street is to bring that feeling of the good life, that fresh, vibrant seafood and the vibe of a surf town, to Portland.
